The Bible says in James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”
At McKallies Home our community outreach minister knows our village territory and its people very well. She is called to serve and we as a ministry provide care to those she’s identifies in a loving culturally sensitive way. Many of our students live with elderly grandmothers who have little means to care for them or mothers/parents of extreme poverty. Some children may live with developmentally delayed parents as well. Care provided depends on the circumstances of the need. Such things may be monthly food support, clothing items, healthcare issues, short term micro loans, temporary employment and assisting in providing adequate shelter and housing to name a few.
Our Outreach Ministry is one of the most important areas the Lord has called us to serve.
